Because its mine!  The room is finally finished and I couldn't be more thrilled.  It is exactly as I envisioned it.  I had a lot of help from creative blogs such as Odeehdoh which feature nursery tours and creative design ideas.  Its a great resource for interior ideas!  So here's the nursery in its glory.  Ain't it cute?

  11. Hi Anjali - sorry so late in reply, the round globes are from an online company, I think Oriental trading or Pearl River! You can buy them at Cost Plus too I think! Have fun!

    1. Thank you, it was a lot of fun to research & create. I think the beige walls were fairway oaks by dunne Edwards & I just picked an orange I liked & had my painter match it for me. Good luck!

    2. Merry, my swankstress-inspired nursery is coming together! I'm choosing an orange paint this afternoon (already have Fairway Oaks on the walls). How close to a primary orange is the color you chose? In some pictures it looks very vibrant, in others a little more muted. I am deciding between matching to an orange paper lantern or an orange chevron rug. This decorating business is hard! Any insight appreciated. :)

  14. I would go for the rug match. We have a lantern up to and it looks great not being exactly the same shade. A few different tones of orange will prob look cool! Good luck!

    1. Thanks! We went with the Cheddar Cheese/Sharp Cheddar color from Hirshfield's and it looks awesome. It's between the rug and lantern.

It took four coats of paint to get a nice solid-looking stripe, though. Is that normal?! It's not like we bought cheap paint...
